You Will Be Able To:
- Ride one through the wide open Free State using back roads and experiencing the Free State hospitality
- You will be fully supported while riding the route
- Jump on and jump off the transport riding what distance you want
- Full medical support during the ride
The Tour Will Consist of:
- 6 days cycling with vehicle support
- 5% tar road 95% Dirt roads
- Group normally 6 to 10. Min age 14
- 6 nights accommodation.
- All breakfasts and lunches, drinks while riding.

Riders travel to Lindley 2 and a half hours travel from Johannesburg 225 kms, arriving during the afternoon allowing time to set up their bikes and have a short ride around Lindley exploring the Anglo/Boar war graves which are part of the Lindley history. A Braai will be held in the evening included in the tour price.
We will start at 07H00 and we will cycle to Paul Roux through the melee field of the Free State, past some of the local game farms.
Leaving early we will head to Fouriesburg skirting the Witteberge Mountains. The route undulates along district roads through small railway towns and past huge farm lands.
Today is a shorter day leaving Fouriesburg and heading towards the border with Lesotho. We turn off and head South towards Ficksburg along the district roads. If riders are feeling adventurous we will ride along the border river itself but only as a whole group. There is a small section of tar on this route before we head up towards Earth lodge in the Rustlers Valley.
There is a long climb today up towards Moolmanshoek but the vistas will make sure your distracted. A 10 km tar section into Rosendal for the overnight stop and after a shower visit some of the local artists that are resident in the village.
Today we head back to Lindley via Paul Roux skirting the Witteberge along the district dirt roads. On arrival at Lindley the riders have a choice of showering and leaving for home or staying overnight and leaving the following morning.
This is a small group of riders who’s aim is to ride in a supported fashion. The pace is up to the individual rider. The escorting vehicle will be close by. Any one can jump onto the transport and drop off when they wish to ride.
You are fit and possess a spirit of adventure. A sense of humour is a good thing to have.

The tour has a cool box for cold drinks. We will supply all drinks and water while riding.
You should be aware that cycling of all kinds has its dangers and that accidents can happen from time to time. Please ensure that you are properly prepared for the riding you are going to undertake. Helmets must be worn by all cyclists in South Africa.
All riders are to have lights front and rear, and are to wear reflective vests whilst riding.
Legal Note: all group members joining this tour will be asked to sign an indemnity form at the start of the holiday.
